Security During Commercial Water Damage Cleanup in Oyster Bay Retail Store

When commercial water damage affected this Oyster Bay store, SERVPRO technicians immediately removed the stock from the shelves and relocated it to a safe area. This small space with highly elevated interior humidity levels could cause damage to porous items and electronic equipment such as cash registers and computer equipment for processing payments. The techs also moved out the tables and chairs as the wood is absorbent and can swell and crack after extended exposure to water. Once the items got removed, the techs extracted the water and boarded up the store window to stop any authorized persons from entering during the mitigation.
