Oyster Bay Vacant Property Has Mold + Storm Damage

This vacant house in Oyster Bay had severe storm damage that did not get discovered for several days. During that time, the water that entered the home creating highly humid conditions that kickstarted a significant mold infestation. Mold colonies covered the staircase, walls, and there were close to two inches of standing water. SERVPRO arrived and treated the water with biocide to assist in neutralizing harmful elements and extracted the water.  The techs performed controlled demolition on the staircase exterior, the flooring, and much of the sheetrock in the home during the mold remediation. Fortunately, the stair treads and risers had restoration potential by cleaning and disinfection.
